BUILDING ON SAFETY On site, our first concern is always safety. We do whatever it takes to ensure a safe working environment for our workers and the project team, our clients and the public. Nothing is more important.
We work to a Corporate Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) based on the principals outlined in Australian Standard 4804:2001. Incorporated into this management system is a site-specific safety plan for all projects that outlines specific procedures and the best practice tailored for each individual project. The system and our project sites are continually audited internally to ensure they meet and/or exceed industry benchmarks.
Buildcorp's safety management systems completely satisfy all legislative and WorkCover requirements and comply with all national and industry codes of practice, thus allowing our clients the peace of mind that we and our subcontractors will produce a quality product, safely and effectively. Buildcorp won the Chifley project because of their ability to think outside the square. They were creative in their methodology to protect the commercial operations of the retail precinct, and maintained excellent communications with all stakeholders to ensure their support. Congratulations on winning the 2007 MBA safety award.

BUILDING ON SUSTAINABILITY The entire Buildcorp Group is dedicated to sustainable construction practices. This is achieved through our AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 based four phase continuous system of:
> Defining objectives > Developing environmental strategies > Implementing those strategies and > Ensuring accountability.
Not only do we manage the process, we focus on reducing the risks that are traditionally perceived as being associated with significant sustainability targets. Buildcorp has the in-house management and technical skills, the specific ESD knowledge and the relevant and recent experience to deliver projects with the highest sustainability objectives.
Our ESD capabilities were extensively evidenced by Buildcorp Contracting’s role as the Design + Construct project partner for Workplace 6, the new premium grade Sydney CBD office building at Darling Island which is the first project in NSW to achieve a 6 Star Green Star rating. I was impressed at how profoundly Buildcorp adopted the principles of the Council to achieve Corporate Green Star Accreditation. They were prepared to provide the opportunity for all of their staff, their consultants and even their clients to become Green Star Professionals by facilitating the necessary courses and examinations.

BUILDING ON QUALITY A high quality outcome doesn’t happen by hoping for it. To ensure the perfect ending you must have in place the appropriate methodology from the start. We have developed tried and tested systems and processes, beginning with selecting the best-suited subcontractors, then applying rigorous planning, transparent approvals processes, high-level problem solving and excellent communication at every step of the way.
Buildcorp has earned a reputation for handing over quality projects in some of the most demanding of environments. This can only be achieved by having the systems in place to ensure our clients are delivered what they expect at the end of each project. This is one of the reasons we enjoy repeat business from more than 52% of our clients across the Group.
Buildcorp Contracting has earned the distinction of being the only Australian construction project team to receive an Australian Quality Award by the Australian Quality Awards Foundation.
Buildcorp recently completed a new sports facility. It has received enormous support from our school community, as well as winning the prestigious Excellence in Construction Award for Best New Private School Facility in NSW. We are enormously proud of our association with Buildcorp and grateful for their eye for quality and attention to detail.
