As the commercial property industry becomes more environmentally sustainable, Buildcorp is leading the way, having completed some of Sydney's most significant green building projects.

In house expertise

Buildcorp believe that staff education is an integral part of delivering green buildings. We have over 30 employees that are Green Star Accredited Associates or Professionals. Our employee experience in Green Star and NABERs accredited projects have been the key to the delivery of Buildcorp’s many high quality projects.

The four projects below are a sample of our green building project experience which totals over $175m.



Workplace6 Darling Island

Procured and delivered on a design and construct basis, Workplace6 is the first 6 Star Green Star 'as-built' rated building in NSW. The project was won through a competitive design and tender process, requiring the Buildcorp team to develop the best method of delivering something that had never been built before. The final value of the project was $56m. The building features trigeneration and uses the water from Sydney Harbour for cooling. Owned by GPT, the flagship tenants in Workplace6 are Google and Accenture.



NAB House central plant and building upgrade

The NAB House project, with a construction cost in excess of $40m, is one of the largest green building upgrades in the Sydney CBD. Targeting a 4.5 star NABERS rating, the building works included 19 floors of base building service upgrade, major upgrade of the central plant and a full refurbishment of the building's foyer. All of these works were undertaken whilst the building was occupied, requiring our team to stage the works safely around the building's occupants and ensure critical building services were not affected during the works.



Macquarie Group fitout, One Shelley St

The Macquarie Group fitout was undertaken in a new building designed to achieve a 6 star Green Star. To ensure this high performance was maintained, the fitout was designed to achieve a 5 star Green Star rating, whilst incorporating Sydney's largest 'Activity based working' interior design. Completed over nine floors, the fitout includes different furniture systems, including custom designed furniture and joinery, which creates a distinct theme for each space.



6 & 7 Eden Park Drive, Macquarie Park

This $44m commercial precinct was delivered for Investa on a design and construct basis. The development consists of two linked buildings containing 17,800m2 of net lettable area plus underground car parking. Each building was designed to achieve a 4 star Green Star and 4.5 star NABERS rating through the use of external sun shading systems, bike racks and on site shower for tenants. Since completion, the fully tenanted buildings have achieved a NABERS rating of 5 stars exhibiting energy efficiency above the client's brief.
