Cadet program

Buildcorp’s Cadet Training Program has been developed not only to assist in attracting candidates of a high calibre and great cultural fit, but also as an investment in the long-term future of the organisation. Buildcorp also realises that its future industry leaders will gain benefit by receiving quality direction from the very beginning of their careers, enabling them to develop outstanding core skills.

What is the cadet training program?

The Buildcorp Cadet Training Program spans three-years, providing a mix of both formal training and practical experience. Each Cadet’s time is allocated across several areas of the business and aims to equip them with a broad construction management understanding and skillset. Cadets are assigned a mentor for each area of practice and undertake consistent reviews and feedback cycles to ensure set goals are achieved.

Intake for the program occurs on an as-needed basis, with successful applicants benefiting from flexibility of working hours around exam time (study leave) and the opportunity to work on exciting projects alongside highly skilled staff.

Who is eligible?

To qualify for the program, participants must have completed on of the following:
  • One year full-time (or equivalent part-time) at university in a building-related course
  • One year full-time (or equivalent part-time) at TAFE in a building-related course
  • One-two years relevant industry experience, with a willingness to commence studies
