This commercial project was completed under a design and construct contract and procured via a competitive tender.
The completed building consists of four levels of A grade commercial office space, two levels of carpark and an
extensive parkland redevelopment to the surrounding property.
The building was designed and delivered in accordance to a
4-star NABERS energy rating.
Buildcorp’s initial scope was to deliver to the client the base building only. A third of the way into the program, international
defence and aerospace giant Raytheon signed a long term lease with ING Real Estate to house some of their 72,000 staff
at Parkside.
As a result, Buildcorp were assigned the task of integrating the fit-out into the construction program. This was successfully achieved in an accelerated time frame, and incorporated some of the most sophisticated security systems in the world today.
The project is a perfect example of the advantages of an integrated fit-out, which allows the tenant to have a greater say
in the final design of their workspace, as well as providing earlier access to their tenancy. The advantages were also commercially advantageous to the developer.
