About Us and YOU:
Over the pastfew years the Queensland business has had the opportunity to grow and expandtheir project scope to extend from fit out and refurbishment to complex newbuilds as well. As a result, the business is looking to hire a technicallyfocused Quality Manager with experience in construction new build.
The role:
You will be responsible for:
- State-wideimplementation of our award-winning quality management system, which ensuresaccurate data capture relating to project quality incidents such as defects,rework or re-design
- The completionof a significant number of site inspections to ensure that project teams aretrained in the early identification of poor construction quality
- Preconstructionsupport to project and design teams to help prevent the occurrence of designrelated construction errors
- Commissioningand project handover processes that ensure both the teams and the supply chain areconsistently implementing the appropriate processes to minimise issues and callbacks

If this role is for you, you will need to display thefollowing skills and knowledge:
- Experience in a constructionproject management environment as a Project Supervisor, Site Manager, Project Engineeror Quality within the construction or engineering industry is essential
- Bachelor of Engineering,trade background, Clerk of Works or similar is essential
- The ability tolead and develop teams to direct them to execute quality construction projects
- Strong timemanagement and communication skills, both written and verbal
- 5+ years’experience in a similar role in a first tier or large second tier constructioncompany with experience in both new build and refurbishment projects would be advantageous
- Extensiveknowledge of relevant codes and standards will be seen as valuable
- A workingtechnical knowledge across structural and façade trades
- The ability towork autonomously
- Asolutions-minded approach to their work
- Have a genuinepassion for promoting and driving continuous improvement activities
